Better than home
Our cottage lies in the heart of the little and charming Sukoró on the north side of lake Velence that is about one hour of driving from Budapest. The 130 years old farmhouse is a rare spectacle for those who love traditional folk architecture but still demand today’s comfort. In the house and the belonging spacious garden stillness is guaranteed: it’s not bordered by any streets, only the neighbouring gardens and a watercourse are around. If you are looking for a complete relaxation Seven Pines Holiday House welcomes you the whole year.
The house
The one entering the house is immediately touched by It’s unique atmosphere. The stout walls are encapsulating more than a century old tradition and history. The house has been built in the late 1800s for the judge of the village. Entering the front-door we arrive to the anteroom. Moving further into the middle of the house we reach one of it’s specialties - the kitchen. The kitchen was originally working with a free chimney – meaning the smoke leaving to the air directly through a tunnel starting from the ceiling.
We have renovated the house partly with our own hands with great care to preserve it’s original character yet bringing the 21st century to the house in terms of comfort and technology.
The meter thick walls are keeping the temperature well, air cooling is not needed even on the hottest summer. When it gets chilly on the outside the electric heating is taking care of warming up the house quickly. There are two parking slots in the yard. We welcome pets as well with the hygiene well kept.
There is a horse ranch in 300 meters from the house that offers several trail rides to the surrounding countryside and you can also go for an easy ride at the ranch. Moving out of the stillness of the house and the village Lake Velence and the surroundings offer a wide variety of programs. We look forward to welcome you at Seven Pines!

Kicsit izgultam amikor útnak indultunk Sukoróra, hogy mi vár ránk. Hiszen egy rozsdás szöget is be lehet fényképezni arany színűre. A Hét Fenyő Vendégház minden képzeletet felül múlt! A falu központjában, de mégis eldugott helyen van. A belső terek kialakítása igényes, ízléses. Felszereltség szempontjából a legjobbak közé tartozik! Az udvar szép, rendezett. Surroundings
Sukoró is a picturesque village at the feet of Velence hills in the area of Lake Velence. Sukoró is cautiously preserving its building traditions the village is rich in folk monuments. We advise to spend time admiring the beautifully renovated Calvinist church keeping historic memories. The surroundings bring a wide variety of options to relax and explore. You can swim in the velvety waters of the lake Velence, take advantage of the windy weather on the windsurf, ride the paddle boat or explore the Sukoro Arboretum. You can easily go around Lake Velence by bike in about 2-3 hours. Or just simply stay in the garden and admire the amazing view of the church and the starry sky by night.

Prices effective from 1st April 2021 for the full house:

Prices don't include tourist tax that is 300 HUF per person (above 18 years of age) per night. The reservation becomes confirmed by making an advance payment up to 30% of the total fees.
Cancellation rules:
- If cancellation happens within 72 hours prior to the arrival, the advance payment will be charged.
- If cancellation happens on the day of arrival, 50% of the total fees will be charged.

We will confirm your dates via emal within 24 hours. If the guest house is occupied for your selected dates we will call you to find alternatives.
Your booking becomes confirmed upon transferring 30% of the booking fee within 2 days
Cancellation is free up until 3 days before your planned arrival in case of cancellation within 3 days 30% of the respective fees will be charged. In case of no show up, the first 2 nights will be fully charged.
About Us
We live in Budapest with our kids. My profession is photography and styling while my husband is working on our businesses and learning psichology. In the last few years we have digged deeper into the sweet science of renovating old farm houses, it has become our passion. We love continually improving our house and the garden.
If we have some free time we like exploring Hungary and usually we visit Slovenia twice a year that is a longtime favourite for us. At home we like playing with smart parlor games. Many years ago dancing has put us in touch with each other and from time to time we still follow our passion.

Itinerary by car:
Coming from Budapest you need to exit at 44 kilometer at MOL petrol station. Passing the Motel turn right at the first junction and immediately turn right again. Leaving the overpass turn right again to ”Ország út”. Continue straight toward ’Székesfehérvár’ until you see a white color Sukoró table then turn right to Fő utca. Continue for a few hundred meters till you see a playground to the left. Right before the playground - at the no entry table – there’s a little bridge that will lead you to the entrance of the house to the left.
